The power of lists

Posted by Lara I.

So, I am a stress-oriented person. It's the classic...my mind races a lot, I am always thinking about things that need to get done, etc. I found a really powerful tool, though, which I highly recommend. Lists. They are amazing. And, not just any lists, but literally carrying a notebook with you everywhere. I personally like Moleskine brand (found in art and stationary stores). I get the pocket-sized ones and keep it with me all the time, with a little pen. That way, when a thought pops in my head, I write it down, be it something I need to remember at the grocery store, a person I need to call, or something I want to look up online later...(or even a question I want to ask later on wellsphere!) That way, once it's down on paper, I can come back to it later. It will stop whirling around in my head, and I can quiet my mind to enjoy the scenery. If you are a worrier and stresser, try this! Let me know how it goes.

I'm an unapologetic fan of lists, and I always carry a pen and paper with me everywhere I go because I'm kind of obsessive about not forgetting about things (which I think adds to my stress). I actually try to separate my lists into different categories: goals, things to do, etc. I recently added a gratitude list because it's always nice to be reminded of things that make us happy and grateful when we're running around like chickens with our heads cut off. :)
I THINK LIST ARE A GREAT THING TO HAVE. BUT I HAVE TO TELL YOU ,IN MY HOUSE ITS A BLESSING IF IT ACTUALLY GETS CHEK MARK!
Great idea. I find that on Sunday I can think of a million things I need to do in the week, and then come Monday I totally forget about them. Lists could solve this!
