Take a Nap for a Healthy Heart

Posted by Heather J.

Here's another good reason for a mid-day siesta: in a recent study, researchers found that people who napped for half an hour or more at least three times a week had a 37 percent lower risk of dying from heart disease than non-nappers! The stress-releasing benefits of napping were linked to this increased heart health. The study's authors suggested taking naps whenever one had the opportunity. Sounds good to me! I'll be back in about half an hour.

Naps are the best. It's official. Naps can cause weight loss. Finally, a workout to be excited about! Thought they aren'nt sure exactly how it works, it's thought that it reduces stress and increases your energy level through the rest of the day if you can grab a fifteen minute nap in the middle of the day. That should help you be more active and if you're a stress eater, you?ll eat less. This is definitely something I'll be happy to work into my routine.
