Stress Relief with Lavender

Posted by Tracii H.

The majestic purple herb lavender has been shown to have anti-depressant, anti-anxiety, and tonic qualities and to help overcome bronchial infections. I prefer to prepare a soothing lavender tea before doing something that will trigger my anxiety.

Lavender in tea by itself tends to taste a little soapy, so I add:

3 parts lavender

2 parts green tea

1 part basil and a touch of honey for a sedating, uplifting tea that tastes great.

Valerian root powder may also be added to the brew before bedtime to help naturally overcome insomnia.

Did you know that the smell of lavendar has been proven in a study to be a huge turn on for guys? So drink tons of lavendar ladies (just make sure you're not allergic to it first) and you'll be sweating out sex appeal. See, girls can be flowers if they drink enough of 'em.
That's interesting... I've never heard of that. I guess that's good for me because I love the smell of lavender!
