At the end of a busy day, do you often feel exasperated and tightly wound up? If yes, stay with me. Today, I will share some of my secrets that will help you feel better quickly. Creating a balance between work and relaxation is very necessary in order to experience a healthy interaction with life and keep our sanity.
Just as I look forward to performing my life work, volunteering, and a host of other activities, I also look forward to “me time”. I find that after a busy day filled with seemingly more and more items, taking the edge off in a healthy manner does me so much good. I take “me time” pretty seriously; it takes me far away from whizzing traffic, general busyness of life and a ringing cell phone.
I carefully plan how to make this time more enjoyable and special. The basic stars of my “me time” is a rotating cast of various teas, music choices, aromatherapy, extraordinary candles and a very comfortable chaise lounge. I find that daily "me time" clears my mind and ultimately prepares me to soak up the joys of a relaxing evening leading to calm and restful sleep. Here are some ideas to design your special “me time” as well:

Listening to a favorite CD of mine and sipping on tea at the end of the day is one of my prime ways of recharging without falling into a three-hour sleep.
