Most of us have heard this simple advice, but we still struggle with it. Here's another reminder'saying "No" is OK. Saying "no" to friends, family, projects, and social invitations you don't have the energy for is so hard for some of us. It takes practice, self-love, and a belief that everyone, everyday, has a right to some peaceful, quiet time. If you say "yes" to everything you'll either disappoint others or yourself. You don't have to be rude about it, but be firm. I found that simple is better. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone. Schedule a standing appointment with yourself to relax more and then if someone asks for to do something you're not up for--you can honestly say you can't because you have a prior commitment you need to take care of--YOU!
