Healing Thought of the Week: You May Feel Worse, Before You Feel Better

You can spend a lot of time lamenting your past, and your present, too. It isn’t fair what happened to you, and it isn’t fair what’s happening now, either. I had a client once say to me, “I didn’t cause my PTSD, I shouldn’t be the one who has to heal it.”
The problem is, who (or what) caused your trauma doesn’t care about your PTSD recovery. Only YOU do, which is why only YOU are the one responsible for it.
Don’t waste or siphon off your energy by being angry at the work that has to be done. Just buckle down, focus that energy on healing and get it done. You have a life to lead!
