I read about the Wheel of Life, this really simple but effective way to know what to focus on in life.I tried it and it really does work. Here’s how you do it.Make a list of 8 things that are really important in your life, like money, your kids, career, marriage and so on.Now draw a circle and divide it into 8 parts.Put each thing on your list into one section on the circle. The centre point of the circle is zero and the edge is 10.Now rate how happy you are with each of the 8 things, by marking a cross on each spoke. When you are done, connect the crosses.Focus on the things that you scored the lowest on.
This is very interesting. I guess it is a way to remind yourself that you are neglecting something you once felt was very inportant to you. I also think, though, in this rush rush life, that there are many things that don't belong in our circle at all and that 8 things may be too much in the course of a day or a life. Giving equal attention to 8 things probably isn't possible and as a result you are always neglecting something and made to feel guilty.
I felt that instead of focusing on what we are neglectiung, just focus on that which is most important - and not worry so much about the rest. And things like our kids, our relationship- are things that we do work with in the course of day -. What do you feel about this?
