Fall In Love With Yourself This Year - RETRAIN YOUR BRAIN!

It’s February! That means that it’s Valentine’s Day soon. And even sooner, it’s Groundhog Day!

Happy Groundhog Day !

If you get up today and see your shadow, will you go back into your burrow for 6 more weeks of winter?

It’s easy to get up in the morning and feel like our shadow is dragging us down. It can take a lot of work to change our mind from that dark and sometimes negative-chatter-gray-matter hole to feel good and happy about ourselves and our lives. Our minds and thoughts won’t change themselves, we have to consciously make the change and see that spring - sunshine, butterflies and flowers bursting from the earth - and from our hearts, is coming soon!

START TODAY

So, start today. No matter what shadows seem to have been heavy on your mind and life, take a deep breath and release them. It’s February! It’s the month of love! Every month is the month of love of course, but this month it’s all red and pink and all over the place. So, do things this month to kick off a new year of falling in love with yourself. Yes, that’s what I said! Fall - in - love - with - your - self!

WHAT DOES FALLING IN LOVE WITH YOURSELF MEAN? 

It means staying above ground, out of the dark mental and emotional places, and loving who you are, no matter what. I means dealing with those “shadows” of the past or parts of ourselves that are hard to like sometimes, or that are scary or feel out of control.

DECLUTTER  OLD THOUGHTS

This month, the month of love, make it a point to declutter any thoughts that keep you from taking good and GREAT care of yourself. Think of it this way - if you were madly in love with another, your child, or . . . your pet!, think of the things you do for them that you don’t do for yourself!

And, falling in love with yourself is especially important if you have children… remember, you are their role model. What are they learning from you about self-image, self-love, self-esteem? 

DO THIS!

Right now list 3 things that would make you feel more relaxed, loved, happy, joyful and/or peaceful. Now, go do them or create them. Don’t wait for others to “get it” and do it with or for you. Start doing and being it for yourself. When you open your heart and refresh your mind to yourself about you, you will notice life around you changing because of it! (It’s never about anyone else. It’s always just about us!)
