I've had some trouble falling asleep lately and it's always tricky. I decided to try and make a routine around bedtime. I make some green tea around two hours before I go to sleep (you don't want to have to wake up and go to the bathroom in the middle of the night). I've also created a relaxing playlist on my iPod. It really works! After about a week it was as if my mind associated sleeping with the playlist and I instantly get more relaxed when I put it on. If you have trouble falling asleep, it's worth a try!
