Training Goals

I want to post about my current training goals because it will make me a little more accountable, and that will definitely be a good thing. I have two goals right now
1. Perform 3 consecutive unassisted chin-ups - Right now I can only do chin-ups with a band and I still find them really difficult, so it will be interesting to see how long this might take.

2. Deadlift 1.5 x my bodyweight - I realize this is a much loftier goal. Right now I'm deadlifting my bodyweight, which is 135 lbs, so 1.5 x my bodyweight is 200 lbs. Again, not sure what to expect in terms of time.

So that's that! I'll post my progress every now and then and will make new goals when I achieve these ones. Has anyone else set any training goals for themself?

In other glorious news, I met a friend for coffee last night, and I guess I was out for just a little too long because I came home to a small landfill in my kitchen:

Now to make supper, then off to the gym! I've been trying to get into a routine of working out in the morning before work instead of at night, but I have to say, it's really hard! When my alarm went off at 5:30 am this morning, I wasn't having it. I've also gotten so used to working out at 7 or 8 pm that working out at 6 am makes for a really different day. I'm going to keep trying it out though. It might get easier as the warmer weather and longer days come. Any tips for making the switch easier? Will post my workout later!
