High Volume Training

I recently embarked on a training journey to have a totally overall strength increase. I read about high volume training and decided to give it a try adding in a few tricks I've picked up along the way. Thusfar 2 weeks into the program I've seen a big stength increase in all of my muscle groups.

Can you describe what this is more specifically? Where did you read about it? Does it work for toning as well as bulking up?
