Weight Training Routine
The last post for myfree weightlifting routinescovered the best tricep exercises that must be included in any tricep weight training routine. I also explained the importance of working the tricep muscle. I said that the arms are important part of weight training because 1) you use your arms to pick up, lift and put down the weights used and 2) strong arms are needed to strengthen other parts of the body. To be more specific, strong triceps are needed to strengthen the chest as well as the shoulders so tricep exercises must be used in anyweight training workout.
Now it’s time to move on to the next step of my free weight training program and inform you the best abdominal exercises to strengthen the core. In one of the earlier posts, I explained why a strong core is crucial to strengthen the entire body. I explained why you need to include ab exercises in any weight training routine.
To sum it up, a strong core has much more importance than the common thinking of washboard or six pack abs. Your core provides balance and stability to your upper body as the legs do for the lower. Remember, weight lifting is all about balance and developing the stabilizer muscles needed to stabilize the weight over you head or body. With a strong core, it makes it easier on you to stabilize and balance that weight therefore, making it easier to strengthen and develop the muscles in the entire body. A weight training workout must include abdominal exercises to at least make your life easier when strengthening the muscles.
So let my go ahead and reveal the best of the best abdominal exercises that you must incorporate in your weight training routine. But before I do that, I need to make sure that you understand what these exercises are and how to perform these exercise so if you have any problems, visit the website below. Just click on the link and you’ll be able to start with your abdominal weight training workout.
Hanging Knee Raise
This is the first and best abdominal exercise that you must include in any weight training routine. It uses your body weight very well to put resistance on the abdominal muscles. Not only that, you can work the entire abdominal area just by adjusting the form slightly. All the free weightlifting routines on this site includes the hanging knee raise.
Decline Bench Abdominals
Here is another great exercise useful for any weight training workout. You can use weights to add resistance or use your own body weight. You can also control the decline of the bench (the more declined the harder to perform the exercise) and therefore control the resistance on the abdominals. Finally, just like the hanging knee raise, you can target the entire abdominals just by changing the form of the exercise. I also include this exercise into my free weight training program.
Cardio
What? Studies show that the abdominals are worked very hard just from running, jogging or bicycling. When you increase your breathing pace, your moving the diaphragm quicker which results in working the abdominals. Sure there might be better exercises that you could include in your weight training routine, however, the two prior exercises are good enough to strengthen the core, if done properly.
