Bosu Ballast Ball

Posted by Heather J.

The Bosu Ballast Ball is a stability ball filled with sand-like grains that weighs seven pounds. That doesn't sound like much, but a full workout with one of these things may cause one to think differently. The Ballast ball reportedly helps develop balance, flexibility, and strengthen the core. The forces you to go against gravity to stop it from swishing when you're holding it in your hands. A Crunch Fitness center in New York City began offering the class to cater to people who want a mix of cardio, toning, flexibility and strength in a swift 45 minutes. It's not offered in San Francisco yet, but considering the popularity of stability ball classes and workouts, it likely won't be long. In the meantime, get one of your very own at www.bosu.com.

Gold's Gym also offers a BOSU class. It's an hour long cardio class that will leave you breathless, while toning your whole body. I love the BOSU so much because of the wide variety of activities one can do using one piece of equipment.
