I have had chronic TMJ for most of my life and I am 43 now. It started from Junior high school or before. I had to cut up foods like apples in order to eat them, sandwiches were difficult, twice my jaw locked open at the dentist.
About five years ago, I started to have repressed memories of severe trauma and child abuse surface. Once I started talking, it went away almost completely. I just have a little "stretching" sound, but no pain. My dentist is amazed. This also happened with my chronic skin and allergy problems.
