What kind of gear do i need for rugby?

i usually play football.. but a few of my friends have recently started to play rugby... i kind of want to play with them... but i don't really know what kind of gear i need to play it...

Not much!. Mouth guard is mandatory but for dear equipement, cleats are about it. Must be steel if you're in the front 5 of the pack (playing prop, hooker or lock). Scrumcap or taping for your ears if you're lock. I wear a padded shirt , padding on chest, upper back and arms under my jersey. I've hit shoulder bone on shoulder bone before and it took forever for my teeth to stop vibrating :-). Have fun! It's a great game!
All you need are a pair of soccer boots and a gum guard. scrum caps simply protect your ears, doesnt help with concussions, so they are not vital.
