Arizona gave up far too much in order to land E-Jax. Scherzer will probably be better in 2010 alone. http://sbnation.com/e/956164 about 16 hours ago

Torres to Retire?

Posted Aug 26 2008 1:39pm
Instead of reporting to the Brewers, Salomon Torres is mulling retirement. Torres, 35, was 2-4 with a 5.47 ERA, 12 SV, and 45 K, and would probably become a late inning reliever for the Brewers. I suspect he will pitch in 2008. He is going to a team that was winning the whole year, and should only get better in 2008. Not only that, but he will be a free agent next year, and can just retire than. Torres is set to make 3.2 million dollars next season, so I think he will stay.
