Roll the Good Life with Bocce Ball

Team Sports/ Other team sport What about a game that's like bowling, shuffleboard and golf, only you do it outside, and you get to drink wine while you do it? That would be bocce ball, an ancient sport that's not just for geezers from the Old Country. If you've ever traveled to Italy or southern France (the French call it "boule"), you?ve probably seen these types hanging around the village square for hours tossing little wooden or stone balls on a crushed stone court. Our friends at the USBF say that unlike bowling, "bocce is not a game of roll, slam, crash, rack and have another brewski. It's a true sport involving skill, fitness, strategy and cunning." It is also a team sport with many clubs and tournaments around the country.
