It's going to be a battle in the paint tonight when the Memphis Grizzlies pay a visit to the Utah Jazz.

The Grizzlies had won 14 of their last 15 and their last six straight before they ran into the league's best home team last night. Zach Randolph had a big night of 18 points and 18 rebounds to lead five players in double digits, but the Grizzlies lost the fourth quarter by 29-14 to lose to the Nuggets by 87-80. Coming into the game, the game plan for the Grizzlies was to turn the game into a slow half-court type of game and that's exactly what happened, but the Nuggets just beat them at their own game when the game was on the line. With the loss, Memphis dropped to 44-20 on the season and 19-12 on the road where they've won four of their last five.

Meanwhile, the Jazz have won just two of their last 10 games and are coming off a bad 110-87 loss to the Thunder. Gordon Hayward scored 20 points and Enes Kanter added 12, but no other player finished in double digits as the Jazz fell behind by 22 going into halftime which meant that the second half was nothing but a formality. The Jazz were outplayed by the Thunder in every facet of the game, from rebounds to turnovers, but the most alarming stat was that the Jazz's frontcourt was limited to a total of just 15 points. With the Lakers winning last night, the Jazz drop to ninth place in the Western Conference, just one game behind the Lakers.

In ATS trends, the Grizzlies are 8-1 ATS in the last nine road games and 4-1 ATS in their last five games overall, while the Jazz are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games following a double digit loss and 1-4 ATS in their last five games against teams with a winning record.

Head to head, the Jazz are 26-7 at home against the Grizzlies and 6-13 ATS in the last 19 meetings overall.

You can look at this game in one of two ways. On the one hand, the Grizzlies are playing great basketball and will be looking to bounce back from a rare loss, but on the other hand, they will be playing the second game on a back to back set against a desperate Jazz team coming off a massive loss. This game could go either way, but I just feel that the Jazz need this game a lot more than the Grizzlies so I'm taking the home team to win this game by single digits tonight.
