Orioles Sign Trachsel

When it appeared the Astros were closing in on a deal with Steve Trachsel, the Orioles swooped down and signed him to a one year deal worth 3.1 million dollars. Trachsel, 15-8 with a 4.97 ERA for the Mets last season, was supposedly nearing a deal with the Astros but was some how lured away from that scenario and signed with the Orioles. Maybe learning that he would be guaranteed a spot in the Orioles rotation made him have a change of heart.
