Kickball is Back

I was stunned to learn that, for those of us who did not get enough abuse as children, there are now kickball leagues for adults. And people are loving them! I have a friend who is incredibly heavy and barely works out, but she will drag herself out to a game of kickball for this simple reason - kickball is co-ed. There are apparently (again, who knew?) entire kickball leagues that compete in kickball games and the opportunity for her to meet men (with balls flying everywhere - come on, couldn?t help it) is too irresistible to resist. I can think of about a million reasons not to play kickball (um, really hard throws that knock the wind out of you, the mob mentality of attack, etc. etc.) but she swears it is more civilized than hockey. So whatever. Anyone in LA looking for a new sport that has a built in way to pick up men? Kickball it.
