The Sacramento Kings return home to take on the Philadelphia 76ers from Sleep Train Arena tonight.
Bet on MLB at BetOnline

Head to head, the 76ers are 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings and 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Sacramento while the favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The Kings are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400, 7-3 ATS in their last 10 home games and 7-0 ATS in their last 7 games following a S.U. loss. The 76ers on the other hand are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 2 days rest, but just 8-17 ATS in their last 25 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 7-17-1 ATS in their last 25 vs. Western Conference.

I’ve been as critical of the Sacramento Kings of anybody in recent times, but this team hasn’t played all that bad of late. The Kings are coming off a 101-95 defeat in Denver last night, but they were actually up heading into the fourth quarter and you have to remember the Nuggets are the second hottest team in the league at the moment behind the Miami Heat, having won 14 straight games. Sacramento has actually won three straight at home, which includes a 16 point win over the Los Angeles Clippers and a franchise record 42 point beat down of the Chicago Bulls just under two weeks ago.

The Philadelphia 76ers also comes into this game off a loss to the Denver Nuggets, falling by the slimmest of margins 101-100 on Thursday night. The 76ers were actually pretty unlucky not to snap the second-longest current winning streak in the NBA as Corey Brewer was fouled on a three-point attempt with just 2.1 seconds left, calming sinking all three to ultimately give the home team the lead for good.

I don’t see how you look past the Kings in this one. Granted, they did play in Denver last night, but this team have been really good at home of late. On the other side, the 76ers are a putrid 6-25 on the road this season and although they nearly took down the Nuggets, they lost in Los Angeles the night before by 29 points against the Clippers. Philly has dominated the Kings for the best part of six years now, but I think that stops tonight..
