I'd like to get an idea of what kind of sports companies are including in their health and wellness programs, or even during team building events. Please feel free to share your experience with corporate athletic teams and leagues, or feel free to ask me questions about what they're all about. I've got plenty of tips to offer.
I really like the idea of team building events or fun activities coworkers can do together as a company. Often we hide behind our computer or cubicles all day, we forget to talk to one another. Can you provide me with some suggestions? I would love to implement some of your ideas at work.
I've seen and heard what corporate tennis can do to help build team work within a company. To find out how to start a team, visit wtt.com (the World TeamTennis website) or USTA.com (United States Tennis Association).
The format for the corporate leagues that these organizations sponsor is appropriate for players at all levels, and its quick-two hours at the most for a team each night.
There are many other sports that can be offered by a corporation, so choose one that suits your fancy. Find other players interested in playing, and perhaps approach your HR or Wellness coordinators if you have them. Organizations like WTT and USTA can also help you get a program started. Good luck!
