Quadruple bypass questions

My Mother [age 78] had quad bypass and repair to left anterior descending artery on April 1st
she is home being cared for by myself and six loving siblings.
She was prescribed coumadin and a friend suggested she also use arnica, is that safe for her to do or should we not use any holistic medicines/treatments?
