I am an attorney who was brought into the field of patient empowerment through no fault of my own. I have been a patient and now I am a care-giver for my ill, elderly dad. My hope is that we can return to a time when physicians and patients shared mutual respect. It was a time when the government and corporations stayed out of the patient-physician relationship.
