Sweating while sleeping could be caused by too hot a room, wearing pyjamas made from synthetic material, too many blankets, too heavy a comforter, fever, a drug side effect and a host of medical reasons that can only be diagnosed by a doctor.
It could also be caused by sleep hyperhidrosis, known as “night sweats”. This could be genetic or caused by menopause.
Some solutions are wearing moisture wicking pyjamas and having a cool glass of water to sip during the night.
