Recurring Dreams

What Do Recurring Dreams Signify?

Recurring dreams are showing you an unresolved problem or situation. We can either have multiple dreams about the same situation or similar dreams with different symbology, but same meaning applies. Either case, these are considered recurring dreams that are repeating the same theme with maybe a different perspective to help you to understand your current situation.

For instance, a client, Ronnie, comes to me wanting to know what the number "2" means because she has been dreaming all week about the number 2. Having gone over each dream with her, we discovered the dreams were all saying the same thing. The Number 2 is symbolic for division, double mindedness and/or indecisive about something, etc.

Lets break them down in laymen terms:

First dream was about 2 people arguing about something. The other person in the dream was a male.

Second Dream: Baking cookies, only baked two at a time because I kept burning them.

Third dream: two spiders, one was a house spider, the other was a scorpion type spider who was biting the house spider, trying to capture and kill it.

Ronnie had other "number two" dreams that week which confirmed the interpretation that I am about to share with you. "First dream involved Ronnie arguing with a male about something. Come to find out, she and her husband have been arguing a lot about whether to keep the bakery business or not. Ronnie's husband Jake would like her to be a full time stay at home Mom. Baking and cooking is something Ronnie is passionate about and gets angry (burned up) when her husband doesn't support her.

The scorpion type spider is symbolic of Jake (who is a Scorpio according to astrology), is poisoning Ronnie's dream desire and his continual (biting) remarks, cause a deterioration of Ronnie's self worth, (kills her self esteem). Ronnie constantly doubts herself and has a hard time making decisions. "I feel God wanted me to open this business but my husband insists it’s a bad idea. Who do I listen to?"

This situation is causing Ronnie a lot of stress and as you can see, she is undecided about what she should do. Now that we know the problem, we can pray for a solution to be revealed. To make a long story short, Ronnie has kept her bakery business and has learned to either ignore her husband’s remarks or she assertively speaks her mind, not allowing him to belittle her. Best of all, Ronnie has no more number-two dreams, at least not for now.  ;)

Hopefully, you can see how recurring dreams can be a useful tool for personal growth in helping you to identify issues in your life that you need to deal with. If the dreams are particularly disturbing, you may want to consider consulting with a dream therapist who is experienced in interpreting dream symbols so you can discover what it is that your recurring dream is trying to reveal to you.

As long as dreams continur to recur, chances are the problem is not yet resolved. If on the other hand, the dream seems similar but improvements are made then the dream is showing you progress you are making.
