fever blister has radiating pain

Posted by dawna

my lip fever blister is radiating pain down my chin, to cheek & even ear.  it developed on Mon (4 days ago) from the sun, has had normal course of healing on the surface, but pain will not go away.  i'm taking l-lysine, tylenol, topical oinments etc. but nothing is helping.   i get them about 2-3 times a year & this is just not typical for me.   should i have it looked at or try different meds?

thanks!

Some over the counter medications just don't seem to work very well for some people. See your doctor and they can prescribe a better medication.
