Dreams are certainly not the only way God communicates with us but the way I get direct One on One instruction, is through my dreams.
He guides us, counsels us, warns us of danger, and blesses us through our dreams. He has established covenants with mankind through our dreams. He has utilized dreams from Genesis to Revelation, and declared that He would continue to use them in the last days.
When you total up all dreams and visions in the Bible, and all the stories and actions which come out of these dreams and visions, you have about one-third of the Bible, which is equal to the size of the New Testament! Dreams are a central way God has chosen to communicate with us, and thus they must be given respect and should be honored.
I strongly believe that a person’s dreams and the meaning of those dreams is between them and God. There are many symbols which are universal, but overall, God dials direct and uses visuals, symbols, and metaphor’s that you, the dreamer, will understand and recognize.
It takes some learning and some practice before you can expect to understand and feel confident enough to interpret your own dream/s. However, I believe it’s necessary you learn the dream language because of the wisdom and the closeness you will encounter as you communicate with God!
I am aware that God speaks to man in other ways also, whether it be through scripture or through others, like a Minister. But the most intimate communication with God is through prayer, meditation and listening to the messages in your dreams.
Dreams have always made a major impact on those who experienced them, in the Bible. They were life changing in most cases. Remember Jacob’s famous dream of the angels ascending and descending? How awesome was that. Do you think that dream affected his faith? He later had another dream telling him to leave his uncle Laban’s land. Interestingly, Uncle Laban has a dream telling him to let Jacob go in peace. Hmmm, Would Laban have let Jacob leave without such a dream? We know he honored it without question, even though Laban would have loved to keep Jacob on as a labourer.
The Magi (or three wise men) had a dream that warned them about Herod’s intent to kill the Christ child.
The wife of Pontius Pilate had a dream, just before the crucifixion, warning her that her husband should not punish Jesus. Were all dreamers, believers in Jesus that have been referenced here? NO.
Were the dreams they had, significant dreams that came from God? YES.
Do you think these dreams influenced their behavior in any way? YES, should be your answer.
If one does not believe in the importance of dreaming, one will not likely bother to remember or analyze their dreams. This is unfortunate but true and I believe all mankind will be held accountable for the message sent…but not obeyed. We can’t get to heaven and say, “But God, you never told me!” Because he will tell you, one way or another, the message will get to you. How you respond is your choice.
Throughout the Bible God has revealed many historical and prophetic matters through Dreams to believers and unbelievers. All mankind was influenced by dreams. Some responded by seeking an interpreter, others knew what they needed to do.
As you learn dream interpretation principles with the use of this site you will begin to realize the importance of dreaming. You will experience for yourself that dreams are meaningful as we walk through this journey together.
Clients of mine have given me permission to post their life changing dreams and the interpretations. You will see for yourself how dreams can change your life as you read about theirs!
Blessings until next time,
