Would a first-degree cigarette burn ordinarily bleed or cause scabbing?

Posted by Morgan Spector

I'm in a situation where small (@1/4 to 3/8") irregular round scabbing wounds on a child's back are being called "cigarette burns". So far as I can determine from my own research these types of burns don't bleed. And second, there are other characteristics of cigarette burns that appear to be missing. But my preliminary issue is this: would a first- degree cigarette burn cause bleeding?
