Why You Should Avoid Water-Based Products In Winter

" My favourite for the Winter: MuLondon Organic Rose Moisturiser" - Daniela from the fabulous Austrian blog " Once Upon a Cream" shares her vegan face routine.
She explains beautifully why face and hand creams should no longer be water-based at colder temperatures: " (1) Face and hands are often unprotected and directly exposed to the cold. High water/moisture products and sub-zero temperatures can literally freeze the water on your face or the hands, and that can cause damage to the skin. (2) The skin is dry in winter, because it has to work hard to produce sebum at low temperatures. In addition, the lower sweat production, central heating, lots of wind and humidity dry out the skin further. Thus, I moisturise with an oil-based cream in the fall and winter. My favorite for the winter: MuLondon moisturiser."
