what happens when you bite ur nails and cuticles raw? What does it look like when it gets infected?

My girlfriend has a very bad problem of biting her nails and cuticles it looks disgustimg. She refuses to stop. Please show her in pictures to prove what will happen if she continues to do this. Thank YouThey are raw and bleeding at times. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
