what could cause very tender skin from the lower left back to lower left stomach, including clusters of red sores

A week ago i started having tender skin starting from the lower left part of my back around the left side above my hip and to my lower stomach. Tender to touch, clothes, warm or cold air. A few days later clustes of red sores of some sort started appearing and more and more are beginning to surface. Im at a loss. Any ideas?
