Generally most patients are kinda sore and maybe a bit numb in the areas treated. It really depends upon the technique used. They vary quite a bit as does the level of skill in the doctor's performing liposuction.

Patients need to be followed closely by the doctor who performed the surgery so aftercare can be assigned individually.
