small goldish/white patch (similar to syrup) formed on sons head after a day of constant scratching

I notice 22 month old son scratching head about 2 days later in the same spot a goldish grainy thick film formed on his scalp (similar to syrup/hard to comeout)

Its not ringworm according to the nurse
