Painful swollen rash (with liquid-filled bumps)

Posted by Jenny S.

About a week ago, I experienced a pain about 5-6 inches below my armpit.  Now I discovered a rash on my back (near my shoulder blades).  It is only on my left side (both the pain and rash).

Rash: At first the rash was just itchy.  Now it has small tiny bumps (appeared about a day and a half after the rash).  It looks like it could be filled with liquid.  It is a little less red than yesterday.   I have a smaller rash on my shoulder as well.

About me:  I am in my mid 50s.  I have ashtma.  I am about 5'4 at 135 lbs.  I have high chlorestoral & I take medication to normalize my high blood pressure.  I experienced sharp pangs in my stomach region in the past.

Without flash on.  Notice the tiny bumps. The rash is about 4 inches in diameter.

 Smaller rash on my shoulder.

I have been spraying Bactine on it & applying Cortizone 10 to relieve the itching.

What could this be?

I haven't changed laundry detergent or a new lotion/perfume.

If anyone could shed some light as to why these rashes appeared, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
Looks like how Eczema looks when it starts flaring up. Try buying a moisturizer for Eczema and see if it doesn't start clearing it up. People who have allergies, asthma etc. tend to get Eczema more often than other people who do not have those conditions.
It could be Shingle, it looks alike go and see a doctor .
