Knee Cap-clear skin sore to the touch

Hi on the Top my Knee-Cap i have what you would describe as Hairsore however this is Extremely painfull to the touch, and feels like it could be something underneath the skin, and is only situated within a 1" area, but yet there are no Marks, or Blemishe's, can anybody advise?
