I’m Loving This Healthy Sugar Alternative That I Can Grow In My Garden…

I got given this amazing plant for Christmas. It’s called the Aztec Sweet Herb, or Lippia dulcis to be more “botanical”.
This plant is amazing because its edible leaves are incredibly sweet. This means you can grow this plant in a pot or in the garden and pick off the leaves to sweeten food and teas. It’s very common to use the leaves of the Aztec Sweet Herb to sweeten fruit salad and herbal teas. But I think I’ll be using it for more than that, especially when I’m 100% raw vegan in the New Year!
I’ve got heaps more to say about this plant in my video-
Used in the treatment of coughs, colds, bronchitis, asthma, and colic. It has also been used traditionally by Mexicans as a expectorant and as a stimulant.
Please also note that the Aztec Sweet Herb is not recommended to be used as an everyday sweetener because of its high camphor content. But I’m all for everything in moderation so I feel that it’s a good idea to “mix it up” anyway.
