How To Get Rid Of Your Acne (Permenantly) Through Transformation, Self Love & A Tiny Affirmation

Posted Sep 18 2009 10:04pm

butterflys I’ve been catapulted into a big soul transformation over the past month or so which is just wonderful. It subtly started to begin when I moved into my new house with my three very like-minded friends, and then almost exploded about a month ago with a series of events and synchronicities that I couldn’t ignore.

Why am I telling you all this? Because I’ve had a huge problem most of my life with anxiety, self esteem and self love. Which (not surprisingly) is extremely common for those of us who deal with acne.

I’ve always known that the best way to treat or even “cure” acne at this emotional level was to build up those personal feelings of self confidence, self esteem and self love at both the conscious and subconscious level. But this is something that I’ve been struggling a lot with over the years, especially when I started on my journey to clear my severe acne. For me it was very easy to understand this concept at an intellectual level and to tell myself that “I am confident” or “I love myself”, but actually believing it was something that seemed almost too difficult to be possible.

I have managed to clear my skin but it’s a lot of maintenance to keep it that way. I personally feel that once you’ve been able to achieve a heightened sense of self love and self confidence then the acne will be so much easier to keep away. This means you probably can eat junk food or use crappy skin care without getting a breakout. Sure you may get a stomach ache and dull skin, but not a problem with acne.

So this beautiful transformation I’m going through is going to be an interesting experiment. I’m not willing to go out and eat McDonalds for ten days straight, or any junk food for that matter, but I am willing to “step down” on how disciplined I am with my holistic routine and see how much of a difference it makes.

And for those of you who are wondering how on earth I got started on this amazing transformation when I had been willing it for so long to happen and it didn’t. I just don’t know. All I can think of is that the timing is right, I’m in the right mindset, the right place in my life and it’s just meant to be. I also strongly believe that if you set the right intention and ask for guidance and help, then you will eventually be led in the right direction, or “thrown” into a transformation like I have.

In the meantime, what you can do is to give your subconscious mind a little push in the right direction with affirmations. I know that sounds a bit “new age” but it really doesn’t have to be. One thing I noticed about my past relationships with men and the status of my skin, was my skin was the clearest when I was with a man who absolutely adored me and thought I was beautiful. Every day he would look at me admiringly and if he didn’t tell me that I was beautiful or cute, I could see it in his eyes.

Now you do not have to have someone in your life to tell you that you’re beautiful. In fact, I wouldn’t recommend that because when my relationship with him broke up and I dated someone else who told me I was an eight out of ten, my self esteem plummeted and I started to feel a lot less attractive. I therefore strongly believe that this affirmation and confirmation that you’re beautiful (and a 10 out of 10!) needs to come from the most important person in your life - YOU.

So each day tell yourself that you’re beautiful. Write “I am beautiful” on your bathroom tiles with a whiteboard marker so every day you see it when you’re brushing your teeth. Write it on a card and tack it to the wall above your desk or get it engraved on the inside of your watch. Leave this message there for at least 21 days and I can guarantee you that you’ll begin to notice a huge difference in your body image and self confidence.

Try it, and let me know how you feel :)
