how long will it take for a second degree hot water burn to heal.on right thigh,was 11in long by10in wide happen wed a week ago.

just turned off hot water with spagetti noddles in it,went to sink to drain pot hit sink and pored back on my right thigh.er doctor said second degree burn real ba d one.
