Palomar, a clinical laser company, has released the Palovia, a home light/laser unit for reduction of fine wrinkles such as crow’s feet. You press it into your crow’s feet for a few minutes a day.
From my perusal of their web site, it looks like a low intensity light treatment (maybe a real laser…they aren’t giving too many details) for home use specifically for the crow’s feet. As the company seems to be targeting the really thin skin the treatment must be tuned to be as safe as possible in a novice’s hands which is probably good. At $499 a unit, the questions are what does it do and how long does it last?
Lasers are usually expensive to maintain which makes me wonder about the lifespan of a unit like this. As far as actual results, we will have to see.
