Kinda a shame this one was discontinued as I have been using samples for my own Triceps Surgery. Scar sheeting products can be used over time as opposed to creams which are consumed and kinda make a mess. If you look at page 54 of the Pharmacy Times issue attached (pdf,) you'll see that pharmacists have the power here and weren't really recommending Curad's Scar Therapy, so it was discontinued.
There is a new silicone sheeting product available for scar reduction that replaced neosporin scar solution. My Doctor tols me about it after surgery. It is called Scar Away andit comes with the full 12 week supply in one box. Each strip lasts 7 days or more.It claimes to be professional gradewith a patented SIlon technology. Working great for me so far in diminishing the thick raised sca. I have only been using for 3 weeks and am seeing great results. I'll post an update in another few weeks.(I purchsed the LONG size (1.5 x 7" ). It also comes in a 1.5 x 3" size
i found this curad sheet to be the most helpful, in terms of flattening my keloid. Not a 100% cure of course, but somewhat helpful. Don't know if there are anything else out there that works like this though.....
few months ago, I was on the Curad site and took note that it was discontinued due to the product itself was not posted, but now the product seems to be back on the site. Does that mean they have decided to continue making it again>?
