I am contemplating undergoing Thermage treatment (900 pulses) for cost of $2550. What is the efficacy rate? We all know what the positive outcomes are of this treatment, but I would like to know what are the possible negative outcomes and what are the causes? I am told that my doctor’s assistant is “trained and certified” to do the treatment (doctor chooses not to do the treatment because it takes 2 hours) taking away her ability to do more consultations, etc. I really am trying to find a reputable procedure to tighten the jowl line and neck. The Titan procedure I had done in July 2009 did not really give much results for cost of $1000. Your objective information and advice is appreciated.
Thermage and Titan are different technologies, but I would be skeptical of you getting results that are that much better with Thermage. I also have my nurse do the procedure, but in California only nurses and doctors are allowed to operate the machine. I would insist, if you do have it done, that a nurse do the procedure.
That being said, Thermage has subtle results and will really only work on mild jowling in patients that are relatively on the younger side (below 60).
Even though I have the device, I am always hesitant recommending it. Skin tightening is tough – if you can do a combination of Thermage and fractional CO2, that would give the best results.
