The Return of the Ramble Posts! (Or: I’m Finally Going to Finish My Damn Book)
Posted Jul 26 2013 1:51am
If you believe in Myers-Briggs profiles, I’m a classic ENTP when it comes to my work style: full of great ideas, terrible at follow-through. My report cards consistently spoke of how “Jolie starts with a bang and ends with a whimper.” Learning how to finish a project when the going gets tough (and the tough get so bored and unmotivated) is one of my biggest challenges in life.
I know that I’m capable of finishing things and following-through, however, because I have two very concrete examples (actually, three!): both of the books I’ve published, and this here blog–which is now 8.5 years old and counting. In blog years, that means I’m a doddering great-grandmother and should be yelling at kids to get off my lawn right…about…now.
You guys know that I’ve been working on that Kate Middleton book since 2010…and since Prince Georgie has been born and I’m home all day writing, now seems like the perfect time to finish it.
So, I know that I told y’all a couple of months ago that I’d be blogging daily, but will you cut me some slack for the next few weeks while I throw my energies into Duchess Kate Gets Her Groove Back*?
(*Working title not set)
I’m going to be reintroducing the ramble posts for a little bit, bringing you occasional updates, and of course spending way too much procrastination time on Twitter and Instagram . I love you all and I really appreciate your support!
