Posted Aug 26 2010 8:43pm

After a summer spent visiting cooperatives throughout South America, Annie O. Waterman found a way to merge her love for color, textiles, and design by working alongside a weaving cooperative in Peru. annie O boutique creates handbags, belts, scarves and other accessories working with female cooperatives in remote parts of the world where women live in impoverishment and are often victims of domestic violence.

All items in Annie O’s new Peruvian Collections have been hand woven or knit by a women’s cooperative in the Central Highlands of Peru.

Embroidered Peruvian Belt , vibrant and beautifully made, this belt with detailed bird and floral designs will add a colorful pop to any outfit. Hand woven and embroidered, supporting a women’s cooperative in the High Andes of Peru.
