Skin Care Review: Chella Balancing Clay Mask

Posted Aug 01 2009 10:06pm

chella-balancing-mask Oh boy do I love me some clay facial masks. Having oily, blemish-prone skin can be a real PIA. And it seems that since including bangs into my hairstyle back in March, my forehead seems to be worse than ever. So I was completely enthused to have the chance to try out Chella’s Balancing Clay Mask with hectorite clay and copper, both said to do wonders for your skin. But what really got me intrigued is that it also contains seaweed, which is super fantastic for your skin.

Chella’s Balancing Clay Mask is targeted to both acne prone skin as well as those with sensitive skin. There is no fragrance to the mask, so for those of you who need fragrance-free products, this will be good for you. Most masks should only be used 1-2 times per week, however Chella’s gives the green light for 2-3. But do what is best for your skin type because you’ve got to remember that overdoing it can actually cause you to overproduce sebum. So I simply stick with 2 times per week.

After 15 minutes, I rinsed it off and my skin felt super soft and so much better than feeling like an oil slick. I followed it up with Chella’s Moisture Formula SPF 15.

Are you a fan of clay masks like me? If you’ve tried Chella’s what did you think?
