If there could be one very important fact that I have learned from working with celebrity estheticianRenee Rouleau , it’s that you should stay far far away from scrubs that have anything but rounded beads or grains among their ingredients. I get offers all of the time to try products with apricot kernels or walnut shells and quickly turned them down. But Carol Alt’sRAW Essentials RAW-finish Rigorous Face Scrub not only uses 40% aloe to soothe the skin, but Jojoba round micro-beads to exfoliate as well.
The “Rigorous” in RAW’s Face Scrub is misleading though because this is a very gentle product and what I would believe, in my opinion, to be suitable for sensitive skin. I don’t typically like fragrance in my facial products, but the scrub has an invigorating orange scent, softened by a lingering sweetness to it that wakes you up and ready to face the day. The scrub doesn’t note how many times each week it should be used, but typical rule of thumb for exfoliating is 1-2x per week depending on your skin type.
RAW-finish Rigorous Face Scrub is available at Beauty.com and Amazon.com for $15 for 4oz. Have you tried it?
