Review: Fasio Lash Style Perfector Mascara

Posted May 13 2010 10:23pm
Fasio is well known for super-waterproof mascaras. Is that supposed to be a good thing?

This post reviews one of the newer additions to the Fasio mascara range, the Lash Style Perfector. One of my Christmas presents from Plue !

Fanned-out lashes are neat and they open up the eyes, which is what I got from the Fasio Lash Style Perfector. This is made possible by the unique screw applicator that separates and lengthens the lashes individually. You can expect little to no volume from this formula. The applicator is narrow enough to coat hard-to-reach lashes as well as the bottom lashes without causing a mess.

As with most waterproof mascara, this one holds up a curl like no other. However, the little fibers that make up the length have a tendency to obey gravity and start to curl downwards, making the lashes look a little funny.

The effect is not bad at all and quite accurate to what the ads have depicted.

Then reality hits and I remember that this is a Fasio super-waterproof mascara. It won’t come off!! Even with an eye makeup remover and a cleansing oil, it’d take a lot of elbow grease to get the mascara off. I now fear Fasio mascaras. They may have great lash-beautifying potential but removal is a complete nightmare. My lashes are too wimpy to take so much tugging and I can foresee fine lines. I only use this on days that I feel brave enough and want to abuse my lashes.

The Fasio Lash Style Perfector retails for RM36.90? I think. Available at major health care stores.
