Ramble: Slow internet, my wrinkled eyes, and Meryl Streep on the cover of Vogue is the business

For a girl like me, lack of internet access is like being blind, deaf and dumb. I appreciate a virtual cleanse as much as the next gal (actually, judging by my bizarre Twitter/Facebook aversion, perhaps more than the next gal) but as a freelancer, I need to get a few hours of work in every day, or else mama can’t bring home the bacon.
So, right now, I’m back home visiting Papa Jolie–which I love. I only get to see him about once a year, and my December pilgrimage is particularly bittersweet as it also encompasses Mama Jolie’s deathversary (not a word? It’s a word now), which will be tomorrow. 3 years since she died. Can you believe it?
What I don’t love, however, is spotty internet access, which is the case currently. I rue you, slow internet!
Anyhow, as a result, there’s a TON that I want to fill you guys in on, but I’m way behind on work (each Facebook fan page, Twitter stream, and email missive takes about 20 minutes to load, so I haven’t been able to get much done), so I’m just going to leave you with two things:
1) Suddenly, my eyes are exploding in wrinkles. Where did this come from?! I’m now on the hunt for an excellent eye cream and will keep you posted. I used the NuSkin Galvanic Spa today and feel that it’s very promising, so more to come on that, too.
2) I love love love that Vogue put Meryl Streep on their cover. I’d so much rather see a talent like her than some 20 year old ninny who’s going to “teach” me all her fetus beauty secrets.
