Proctor and Gamble are planning to pull high-street cosmetics giant Max Factor from the U.S. market, in order to concentrate on getting the most from the rest of it’s massive portfolio. The brand will continue to be sold in the UK an overseas, where the majority of Max Factor’s revenue is created.
Max Factor was founded 100 years ago by legendary make-up artist Maximilian Faktorowicz (pictured), who made his fortune as a make-up artist in Hollywood during the 1920s and ‘30s. He was the man who coined the term “makeup.”
