Parabens in Skin & Body Products

Posted by matmarsha

Has everyone heard about the use of parabens in most of our skin & body products. It is a preservarive and has been linked to overproduction of estrogen in the body which can lead to breast or skin cancer. I have only reccently been educated about this and now wonder if the long term use of cosmetics and body products may have added to my numerous skin cancers, (I have used many of the best department store or estitician varieties) . I am now useing only organic and paraben free products.....

Preliminary studies show a link between paraben and estrogen-induced cancers. However, more research needs to be done, especially on the effects of low-dose paraben on topical skin applications.

I am with you, I'm not taking any chances so natural and organic products are always preferable as they contain less chemicals in the form of preservatives, etc. I found natural or organic products are effective and gentle on the skin. You may want to try a product like DaySkin. It’s a physician formulated anti-aging cream which offers protection from UV and UV rays as well as supports growth of collagen and elastin. It's a win win situation.
